Old Plymouth – The Barbican

Posted by

The Barbican is an essential port of call for your visit being the starting point of so many great voyages of discovery.  Visit the Mayflower Steps where, in 1620 the Pilgrim Fathers  embarked on the Mayflower for their voyage to the Americas.

Explore the cobbled streets taking in antique markets, art galleries, The Elizabethan House, Elizabethan Gardens, Plymouth Gin Distillery and the National Marine Aquarium.  Rest awhile and refresh yourself with a drink or meal at one of many restaurants, pubs and cafes.  There are so many to choose from – Devon cream teas,  fish and chips or fine dining at TV Celebrity Chefs’ Tanners Barbican Kitchen or Restaurant.
